The snow started falling HEAVY on Tuesday
evening. It wasn't even in the forecast.

I was SOOOO excited because, as you
know from last winter's posts...

This was the tranquil scene out
my front door about 9 pm.

See those three BIG pine trees to the
right in my neighbor's front yard?

Keep an eye on those trees...

This is what I awoke to
Wednesday morning!

I grabbed my camera and
hopped in the car.

I think winter is the prettiest time
of year to shoot photos.

Thinking of

I headed over to my friend's house.

He has this wonderful modern barn built
just a few years ago:

I love all the Barn Charmers...
so, I grabbed a few more barn shots
since we have so many barns near us.

Now...back to those three big pine trees.
I always LOVE those trees laden with snow in the

I can look out my window and enjoy them.

Imagine my dismay at the scene below...
Now there are only TWO trees!!!

I looked out my window mid-day and saw the whopper
tree being hauled away on a big flatbed trailer.

I was SAD!!!

The new owners had told my husband the
trees block their house.

Then we saw it again in this photo
that appeared in our local newspaper.

My neighbor's awesome tree is the
centerpiece of our town's Christmas
Center display for 2011.

This warmed my gets
to stand tall and bring a lot of
Christmas Joy!

Who's been visiting my house?

Oh my, these are beautiful pictures. I always think the snow is very pretty. Not much fun to have to go to work in though. We don't usually gets that much snow here, usually just lots and lots of rain.

Have a great week Jill

These are all so beautiful! We had snow but it all melted away due to the unseasonably warm weather we have been having...

Beautiful photos of your snowfall! I always love seeing the trees covered in snow. Sad to see your neighbor's tree come down, but it'll provide a lot of enjoyment for a lot of people.

Gorgeous shots! The snow makes everything look so pretty. I love that old gray barn with the snow blown up against it.
The neighbors house does look nice with that tree gone, and it will look great in town, but it's always sad to see one cut down.

They cut down that huge, gigantic tree? Oh my! I'm so glad they didn't just toss it away, tho... that's good! =)

All of the barns are just beautiful in all that snow, esp the 1st red one under that blue sky! WoWoWeee! =)

Thank you very much for joining Barn Charm =)))

Yours & Rose's ideas are just what I was thinking today, instead of the 'busy' collage I posted, but I didn't know Walgreen's did that, so I'll definitely check that out!

PS did you make your twitter pic in your sidebar? That is just too cute! heheheee =)

Hard to imagine the top photo is a barn! I adore the red barn behind the evergreens. This reminds me of Michigan or Ohio. We used to live in both states.

Sounds as if you have had alot of fun in your "therapy". Bet those were some fun columns that you wrote. bEst to you, and hope to see you again soon! Do love your photos! Jeanne with

Your friend’s barn standing tall n all of the beautiful snow is out of this world. The colors of winter are beautiful. They are calling for snow tonight, but I am not getting my hopes up too high. The last one was at Halloween and it came and went in the same day. I WANT REAL SNOW AND LOTS OF IT! Your photos are just wonderful. Lovely captures. genie
